THE CAMPAIGN OF MINER BO Film Titles/Graphics/Identity
Director Todd Drezner’s documentary follows the campaign of an out of work coal miner facing off against the Republican election machine in West Virginia. The intimate portrait Todd has lovingly crafted goes far beyond a simple David and Goliath story, diving deep into questions both subtle and profound. How do we see one another? How and why do we refuse to see one another? Why do we hide our true selves?
Design for Awareness produced the title animation, credits, and designed the graphics throughout the film. The film poster design (below) features a photo by Lauren Copley (Bo’s wife). The film’s subject matter was of particular interest to us, clearly related to our writing at The Missing Point.
